“It's just devastating,” said Natalie Johnston of Meyerland. “This is our home. I grew up here and our kids go to school here. It was devastating. Having Tom Foolery open is exciting for the kids.”
The owner of the toy store, Tomfoolery, credits their Meyerland Court landlord, Kagan Realty, with getting their businesses back up and running.
"The landlord was phenomenal,” Carol Staley said. “It took us two days to get the water out of the store and the landlord was here almost immediately on the third day and said let's rip out the walls."
Super Nails also went into super overdrive to get their salon remodeled and furniture replaced.
“We're so lucky and blessed that we're back in business,” Staley said.
Customers big and small are happy to see their favorite stores open once again.
“I wanted it to be opened back up forever and ever and never close again do you see anything you want today,” said Sophia Johnston, a Tom Foolery customer.
